1. About these terms

These terms apply to this website, to entry in any event organized or timed by RUNROO Racing Services, and to volunteer participation at those events. By using this site or entering an event you accept them.

2. Entry and eligibility

Entry is personal to the registered runner. Bibs may not be sold, transferred or given to another person without our written approval. Wearing another runner's bib invalidates both results and may result in removal from the event, because the timing chip is tied to the bib number rather than to the person wearing it.

3. Fees, transfers and refunds

• Entry fees are non-refundable once the registration window closes.
• Deferrals to the following year's edition of the same race may be requested up to fourteen days before race day.
• Name transfers between runners may be requested up to seven days before race day and are subject to a processing fee.
• Registration processing fees charged by our registration provider are never refundable, including on a cancelled event.

4. Cancellation and postponement

If weather forces a hold, we will restart when it clears and notify registered runners. If severe weather, a public safety directive or an act of government makes an event impossible, we will offer a deferral to the following edition where we can. Entry fees are not refunded in that circumstance, because the costs of putting the event on have already been incurred.

5. Safety and conduct

• Follow the instructions of course marshals, officials and law enforcement at all times.
• Bibs must be worn on the front, flat and unfolded, and visible for the whole race.
• Headphones are permitted at low volume. You must be able to hear a marshal or a vehicle.
• Strollers and walkers start in the designated rear corral. Bicycles, skates, scooters and unleashed dogs are not permitted on course.
• We may withdraw any participant from the course on medical or safety grounds.

6. Assumption of risk

Running is a physical activity carried out on public and semi-public ground, and it carries risk of injury. By entering you confirm you are medically fit to participate, that you have trained appropriately, and that you accept that risk. A full waiver is presented and must be agreed at the point of registration.

7. Results and timing

Timing uses equipment and procedures designed to record every finisher accurately. Results are provisional until published as final, usually within twenty-four hours. Requests for correction should be submitted within seven days of the event. We cannot recover a time where a chip was rendered unreadable by the runner, such as a folded bib or a pin driven through the tag.

8. Timing and management engagements

Work performed for event organizers is governed by the written scope and quote issued for that engagement, which takes precedence over these terms wherever the two differ. Quotes are valid for thirty days. A deposit confirms the date, and dates are not held without one.

9. Website and content

The text, photography, logos and course maps on this site belong to RUNROO Racing Services or to our partners, and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Links to registration and results are operated by third parties under their own terms.
