The Story

Two race directors who still race.

Josh and Angel Strother founded RUNROO Racing Services in Fort Worth, Texas, and are race directors themselves.

Every process on this site was tested on one of their own courses before it was offered to anyone else. That is the whole method: run the race, fix what was slow, run it again.

RUNROO Racing Services exists to close the gap between a small community 5K and the experience of a big-city race. Same start arch. Same chip on the bib. Same results text before you reach the water table. The only difference should be the size of the field.

Today RUNROO plans, times and runs about five chip-timed 5Ks a year across Fort Worth, almost all of them in partnership with a nonprofit. Between them they handle the course, the permits, the equipment, the runners, the partners and everything that makes race morning feel like a town showing up for itself.

What We Hold To

Three things we will not trade.

The clock is honest

Your time is your time. We treat every result as official, because a result you cannot trust is worse than no result. If something looks wrong with your time, tell us and we will review it.

The cause comes first

Most of what we time is somebody's fundraiser. Nonprofit partners get a reduced rate and a donation add-on built into registration. If the event exists to raise money, the timing bill should not be the reason it raises less.

The back of the pack matters

The last finisher gets the same arch, the same announcer and the same volunteers on the line as the first. Strollers and walkers are chip timed on the same course. We do not tear down until everyone is in.
